She conducted part of her doctoral research at the Laboratory for Advanced Nuclear Energy at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Her project proposal &#8220;SESPer \u2013 Solar Energy Storage Perovskites&#8221; received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Global Fellowship No. 74616 (2017). The project led to the development of innovative materials for thermochemical heat storage in solar thermal power plants to enhance their efficiency.\n<br><br>\nShe worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University, US (2017\u20132019), and at the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the CSIC, Spain (2019\u20132020). She is currently an Associate Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Engineering at the University of Messina.\n<br><br>\nShe is the author of 46 peer-reviewed research articles, holds 2 patents, and has an h-index of 14. She has participated in numerous international and national conferences, also serving as a Keynote Speaker and member of the scientific committee. She has been awarded the \u201cSeal of Excellence\u201d by the European Commission and the \u201cAICIng Award for Young Researchers.\u201d\n<br><br>\nShe is a member of AIMAT \u2013 the Italian Association of Materials Engineering, the International Energy Agency&#8217;s Solar Heating and Cooling (IEA\/SHC) and Energy Conservation and Energy Storage (ECES) programmes, as well as the SolarPACES Task III.
