Seongpil An is an Associate Professor at the SKKU Advanced Institute of Nanotechnology (SAINT) and holds joint appointments in the Department of Nano Science and Technology, the Department of Nano Engineering, and the Department of Semiconductor Convergence Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea. He joined SKKU in 2020 and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Nano Engineering. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Korea University (South Korea) in 2012 and 2017, respectively. From 2017 to 2019, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), USA. He is the Fellow of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME). His research focuses on the fundamentals and multidisciplinary applications of electrohydrodynamic (EHD) technologies. He has authored 131 peer-reviewed papers, holds 18 patents, and has published 2 books.
