NEG LCD glass<\/strong>, widely used in the production of liquid crystal displays, has been used as a matrix for the production of decorative composite materials. Coarse flakes of soda lime-glass and artistic glass were added to the fine LCD powder activated with a <\/span>2.5M<\/strong> KOH solution. After a pre-treatment of 6h at 75\u00b0C the material was completely dried through microwave heating and then sintered at 900\u00b0C. The resulting material has excellent aesthetic and mechanical properties opening interesting prospects for the creation of new upcycling materials (Fig.1).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
