


Daniele Callegari
PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Innovation (XXXV cycle), MSc in Chemistry (LM-54) at the University of Pavia. He holds the position of non-tenured assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pavia. The focus of his research is on the development of advanced materials for energetics and electrochemistry with respect to anode materials for sodium batteries, high entropy oxides and novel cobalt-free active materials for advanced lithium-ion batteries. In addition, the advancement of lithium metal battery (LMB) technology with advanced Janus separators and 3D printed current collectors is also a key focus area. The primary area of research is based on innovative materials applied to Li-based batteries, with self-healing and smart scavenger functionalities, and within the European RENOVATE and AutoMat projects, which aim to develop and demonstrate new circular economy solutions for the European battery value chain.
