Jean Marie Nsanzimana

Dr. Jean Marie Vianney Nsanzimana earned a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry with First Class Honours. In 2015, he received an M.Sc. degree from Kyungpook National University in South Korea. He then obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2019 from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the CNRS in France before undertaking another MSCA Co-funded postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Siegen in Germany. In 2024, he joined the University of Padova in Italy as a Marie Curie Individual Postdoctoral Fellow.

Dr. Nsanzimana is an internationally experienced researcher in chemical engineering and materials science, with extensive technical, teaching, and innovative skills, particularly in the design and engineering of (photo)electrocatalysts. He has extensive project management experience in planning, executing, and documenting multiple research projects in collaboration with both academia and industry, resulting in the authorship of several scientific publications in international journals in Chemistry and Materials such as Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Materials, Nature Energy, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. He is also a proven independent researcher with excellent grant acquisition skills, having successfully secured several prestigious international scholarships and postdoctoral fellowships, including the Marie Curie grant from the European Commission.
