Dr. Alessandro Mariani is an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, with a research focus that bridges physical chemistry, electrochemistry, and materials science. His expertise lies in the investigation of complex fluids and electrolytes—particularly ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, and concentrated aqueous systems—through a synergistic use of experimental and computational techniques. His work combines advanced structural characterization methods (including SAXS, WAXS, NMR, and vibrational spectroscopy) with classical and ab initio molecular dynamics, enabling a multiscale understanding of structure–property relationships in energy materials.
