Noriyoshi Matsumi
Dr. Noriyoshi Matsumi is a Professor in the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Technology, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST). He received a B. S. degree from Kyoto University in 1995 and obtained Dr. of engineering in polymer chemistry from Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 2000. During 1999-2000, he received a Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellowship for research on -conjugated organoboron polymers. Then he became assistant professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. Therein, he studied selective cation transport in organoboron polymer electrolytes and organoboron ionic liquids. In 2006, he joined Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University as associate professor. From 2010, he has been working at JAIST. He received the award for encouragement of research in polymer science from SPSJ (Society of Polymer Science, Japan) in 2006, and award for outstanding paper in Polymer Journal sponsored by ZEON (SPSJ) in 2010, respectively. His current research interest is organoboron functional materials, and various energy related materials (polymer electrolytes, polymer binders, active materials, artificial SEI/CEI, additives).
