Federico Bella

Federico Bella is a Full Professor of Chemistry at the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and Vice President of the Italian Chemical Society. His primary scientific activities focus on post-lithium batteries and electrochemical production of ammonia, employing multivariate and sustainable chemistry-oriented approaches. He has published over 120 articles and has an h-index of 72. Federico has been honored with awards from major global scientific associations, including the International Society of Electrochemistry (Tajima Award 2023), the Royal Society of Chemistry (Horizon Award 2021), and the National Academy of Lincei (Piontelli International Award 2019), among others. Currently, he is leading an ERC Starting Grant project (SuN 2 rise) with a total funding of 1.5 million euros. Additionally, he has recently initiated the first Italian research laboratory focused on potassium-based batteries.
