Founded in 1222 as the result of the spontaneous transfer of students and professors from the nearby city of Bologna in search of greater autonomy and independence. Today, the University of Padua is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world.

As we explore its historic halls, you’ll step into the world of Galileo Galilei, witness the grandeur of the Aula Magna, and visit the famous Anatomical Theatre, the oldest of its kind, where groundbreaking medical discoveries were made. Discover the rich legacy of one of the world’s oldest universities and experience centuries of intellectual pursuit and architectural splendor.
The guided tour includes the Ancient Courtyard, the “Anatomical Kitchen”, the Anatomical Theatre, the Galileo Galilei Great Hall (Aula Magna Galileo Galilei), the Hall of Forty (la Sala dei Quaranta), the Hall of Medicine (la Sala di Medicina), and the Hall of Law (Sala di Giurisprudenza).

At the University entrance, participants will be divided into 2 groups, group number 1 will start the visit, while group number 2 will be guided, through a walking tour in the historic center in the meantime.
The 2 groups will then switch, one will go for the visit and the other one will go for the walking tour.
At the end of the visit the 2 groups will reconvene at the entrance of the University and will enjoy a glass of wine at Caffè Pedrocchi
