Marianna Prizzon
Marianna Prizzon, soprano, born and graduated in Singing in Trieste, Italy, has performed alongside great artists in the international opera scene, including Luciano Pavarotti, Leo Nucci, Katia Ricciarelli, Jaume Aragall, Paolo Gavanelli, Marcello Giordani, Raina Kabaivanska, and Leone Magiera in prestigious concert halls such as the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, Carnegie Hall in New York, Musikverein in Vienna, Großer Saal in Salzburg, Herkulessaal in Munich, and the Sae Jong Art Center in Seoul, as well as in Europe, Russia, Korea, the United States, and South America. Awarded in prestigious international competitions, in 2011 she received a prize from the Cultural Fund of the City of Salzburg at the Mozarteum University in collaboration with the “Salzburg Festspiele”. Among the many leading roles she has debuted are Mozartian roles such as Donna Anna, Königin der Nacht, and Konstanze; Donizetti roles such as Adina, Norina, and Lucia di Lammermoor; Rossini roles such as Clorinda and Rosina; Verdi roles such as Gilda, Traviata, and Leonora; Puccini roles such as Liù, Magda, Musetta, and Madama Butterfly; as well as other roles such as Iphigénie en Tauride by Gluck and other roles in rare operas by composers such as L. Spohr. She has recorded the opera Marinella by the contemporary Triestine composer of Verdi, G. Sinico, for Bongiovanni, and a CD with Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater for Velut Luna; for Audio Ars Studio, she recorded the CD Adoramus – Sacred Songs (nabozne pesmi) I. Trinko and a CD of Lieder by R. Schumann and R. Strauss titled Verklärung.
